Front Porch Frogs

The other night I was watering flowers on our front porch and, to my surprise, two frogs jumped out of the one pot! Charlotte named them Gloria + Froggio.

A Very Happy Mother's Day

This year's mother's day weekend was quite special — I got to share it with five of my most favorite people in the entire world! Thanks, Mom + Jim, for being here. The American Girl Store

With Nana in town for Mother's Day, a good ole' fashioned girls afternoon was a definite must and we surprised Charlotte with her first visit to the American Girl Store! We were showered with attention, tea and hot chocolate, mini sandwiches and bite-sized desserts. Charlotte brought along one of her Bitty Twins, Scarla (or sometimes its Glitzy), and she even walked away with a new stroller!

One Month

Happy One Month, Sweet Caroline!

   


We seriously can't believe this much time has passed already! This past month has brought us such joy and we're so happy you are part of our family. In this time...

• you have met so many wonderful people — both family and friends — and it warms our hearts to know how much we are all loved
• you had to stay zipped in your bilibed for your first 4 days home and take daily trips to the doctor to have your levels checked — we were so happy to see that bed go
• you gained almost one full pound at your one week check-up
• you took your first trip to the ER because of projectile vomiting due to a little nasal congestion and over feeding (Mommy is so sorry!)
• you have started to track and follow objects; we're even starting to see some hints of smiles
• you had your first bath at 13 days — that pesky belly button just didn't want to fall off
• you had your first cold, or was it newborn congestion? so hard to tell.

we also don't want to forget that...

• you like to eat every 2 to 3 hours, sometimes every 4 hours at night (makes Mommy so happy!)
• you dislike the changing table very much
• you absolutely LOVE snuggling
• you like to hang out and nap in your swing in the morning, allowing Mommy to shower and get beautified
• you like to sleep in your pod
• you take daily trips with Mommy to pick up your big sister at preschool
• you make so much noise when you are sleeping — so much grunting and stretching
• you purse your lips
