Sunglasses

Charlotte thought she was pretty cool last night with her sunglasses. Thought ya'll would get a kick out of it too!

Dog Food

Charlotte tried to eat dog food today. She was leisurely crawling past the bowls, stuck her hand out, grabbed some morsels and in the mouth they went. Happened in a flash. Luckily we were right there to pull everything out of her mouth. I swear it was about 9 pieces. Whew.

14 Months

Charlotte is walking everywhere and getting into everything. She still crawls some of the time and is completely over using the 'walker' she was obsessed with for two straight weeks. She has added, "no" and "yum yum" to her vocabulary; we are working on "hi", "hello", "love you", and "thank you". She loves to mock the sounds you make. And, she can stand up on her own now — without pulling up on something. Charlotte also loves to give (very open-mouthed) kisses.

No more baby bath seat in the tub - she's too big. We have outfitted the surroundings with a gigantic tub mat and spout cover.

Sippy cup news: we've found a new (to us) kind and think it's 'the one'!!! Keep your fingers crossed. This is probably the fifth brand we have tried.

I asked Charlotte a question the other day and she responded by saying, "No, ma'am." Seriously, she did. I was dumbfounded.

New FLICKR

Just wanted to let ya'll know that our new FLICKR account is up and running. There is a permanent link over to the right! Lots of new photos and videos. I will be slowly relinking all photos and videos to the blog.

First Pair of 'Real' Shoes

Since Charlotte has taken to walking lots now we thought it appropriate to get her her first pair of 'real' shoes. She has had many a pair of the soft soled Robeez but, these are big girl shoes now. If her closet door is open she goes in, sits down and tries to put the shoes on herself. It's pretty funny.

WALKING!!!

It's official! Charlotte is walking!!! She walked across the entire living for Stevens on Tuesday. Then, all day Wednesday she was walking around at Vesa's! She is wobbly, of course, and falls a lot but she is learning! Once I get the new FLICKR up and running, I'll post a video! It's funny.

After much research and tinkering, I decided it would be best to continue using FLICKR for online photo storage. I have opened a new account and am working very hard at re-uploading all 1000+ photos (and lots of new ones too!). When it's ready, I'll let ya know!

2 Steps!

Charlotte took her first two steps this morning. She was standing, holding on to the ottoman in the upstairs living room. Da-da was sitting on dining room step. Da-da said, "Come here, Charlotte!" She let go, turned toward him and took two steps! They were wobbly but, she sure did it! Woot!
